As a Somerset Wedding Photographer based in Bath, I photograph many weddings in various locations in and around this beautiful city. Here are selection of my favourite wedding venues. They are truly unique and have that historic charm.
1 . The Prior Park in Bath: A Historic Wedding Venue with Stunning Views
The Priory Park in Bath probably one of my absolute favourite wedding venue . It not only have a beautiful architecture but stunning views over looking Bath city. Offering a total individual, bespoke experience for all their Wedding couples. They only allow 20weddingd a year , so very exclusive for the lucky few. The Prior Park have a choice of rooms available for dining, drinks, as well as entertaining, along with a breathtakingly beautiful private estate, which provides ample opportunity for sublime intimate photographs. The views of Bath from this venue are also stunning. There are plenty of lovely wedding venues to discover, from level terrace's to chapels and various halls seating up to 120 or the BSR that can hold 200 guest.
2 . The Roman Baths: Bath Historic Wedding Venue
This impressive venue is not only an historic site but an impressive museum and restaurant. The weddings are held within the roman baths themselves.
Weddings are held here before the museum opens 'sun rise wedding' and after the museum closes it's doors in the evening 'sunset wedding'
Receptions are held in either the Pump Room or on the Terrace. It is here drinks reception can be held so guest can mingle on the ancient paving stones and absorb the Roman baths historic vibe. The Roman baths can accommodate up to 160 guests
3 . The Bath Priory Hotel: Hotel Wedding in Bath
Experience elegance, great cuisine, luxurious rooms, and a beautiful setting at The Bath Priory Hotel. It's everything a couple could wish for on their special day. The Bath Priory offers a variety of wedding packages tailored to suit your unique needs.
As a photographer, I love the décor of the rooms and the excellent lighting, as well as the beautiful garden and pond for photography backgrounds. If the weather is rainy, there is plenty of space for your guests to enjoy indoors.
4. The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa: Hotel Wedding in Bath
If you want romance in an exceptional setting, The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa offers it in abundance. This stunning venue can accommodate up to 100 people, with smaller, more intimate areas available for celebrations within the grounds. For larger gatherings, there's an option of a marquee that can comfortably host 120 guests.
The wedding garden is a secluded area, separate from the main garden, providing a private and beautiful backdrop for your special day. The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa has its own head chef, ensuring a delicious dining experience, and beautifully designed rooms for you and your guests to stay in.

5. Temple of Minerva: Botanical Garden Wedding Venue in Bath
There are many gardens licensed for wedding ceremonies and reception within Bath, one of my favourite venues is the Botanical Garden. Perfect for both small and large weddings. The temple can accommodate up to 35 people indoors and up to 70 with outdoor seating. If you have more than 35 guests, you can use marquees in the garden for the wedding breakfast and dancing. There's also an option for an outdoor ceremony.
Planning for a rainy day is crucial, and the Botanical Garden offers flexible solutions to ensure your special day goes smoothly. This venue is dog-friendly, so you can include your pets in your celebrations. For a more relaxing experience, consider booking a Bespoke Wedding Canine Chaperone to look after your pets. 6 . Hamswell House: Country House Wedding Venue near Bath
Set in the picturesque countryside near Bath, Hamswell House offers an enchanting wedding venue with a bohemian feel. You can choose to have your ceremony outdoors, overlooking the stunning countryside, or indoors in the charming orangery ( up to 40 people ). 10. Priston Mill: Barn Wedding Venue near Bath
Located in the stunning countryside just 7 miles from Bath City, Priston Mill is home to the picturesque Tyth Barn and charming Watermill. These historic venues, part of the Duchy of Cornwall Newton Park Estate, can accommodate 50 to 150 guests. While accommodations are not provided on-site, a local accommodation guide is available for guests' convenience. The Tyth Barn is licensed for up to 150 guests, while the Watermill can accommodate up to 90 guests.
